The United Arab Emirates, commonly abbreviated as the UAE or more recently "The Emirates" is a small middle eastern country with a rich history going back thousands of years. HISTORY & FORMATION OF THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

The 7 states or Emirates of the United Arab Emirates were joined together by the visionary leadership of the now late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Sheikh Zayed was loved by his fellow country men and the world alike and is considered one of the great government leaders of the entire history of Arabia and the middle east.

In 1971, after British colonial rule, these seven emirates formed under a new United Arab Emirates. Soon after, the country started rapidly growing and developing using the nations vast oil and gas reserves to fuel the economic growth. Interestingly, the region of these Trucial states has been occupied by humans in excess of 7,000 years.
